Zurich’s swanky Thermal Bath & Spa is built in the newly renovated Hürlimann Brewery, which was established in 1863. The hotel and spa combo has converted the original underground wooden beer barrels into baths that are heated naturally with water from a nearby spring. The brewery’s vaulted stone arches remain in place, giving the space a Medieval-like quality. Other chambers of the brewery have been transformed into pools, lounges and steam rooms. There is also a pool on the roof that provides the guests a chance to relax while surrounded by breath-taking views of the city.
