Aesop Opens Sixth Shop in France, Continues Its Love Affair With Paris

Ceci n'est pas un flagship store.

Cosmetic company Aesop's new shop might be the sixth to plant roots in the City of Lights, but the concept behind this location stands out from the rest.

Aesop called on Milanese interior designers Britt Moran and Emiliano Salci of Dimore Studio to organize the shop's layout. Located on a leafy block in Paris' St.-Germain, the store is outfitted with gleaming gold counters, black and white-tiled floors and retro chandeliers that look like they once hung in a 1960s barber shop. Vintage mirrors and dark wood furniture are dotted with merchandise from the brand, which hawks luxury shaving materials and sumptuous skincare products.

Each of Aesop's shops have individual looks - the Venice Beach, Calif. store is filled with light wood and beach simplicity, while its Chelsea location in New York City is covered in old issues of the Paris Review and the New York Times.
