Back in September, the Madison Square Park Conservancy opened an exhibition of Giuseppe Penone's sculptures entitled "Ideas of Stone." The exhibition, currently installed in Madison Square Park, features 40-foot tall bronze tree sculptures holding large stones high up in their branches. As the seasons changed, snow blanketed the park and the sculptures, adding to the drama and beauty of the pieces.

Penone's installation will end on February 9 to make way for Ivan Navarro's water tower installations entitled This Land is Your Land , which opens on February 20. For more information, head to madisonsquarepark.org.
