The Guardian's Halley Docherty created a genius photo series that blends our favorite time waster (Google Street View) with one of our favorite applications of photography, the universal language of album covers. Docherty inserted a few classic covers from the likes of The Beatles, the Beastie BoysPink Floyd, Oasis, PJ Harvey, Led Zeppelin, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and others into the Google Street View locations where they were photographed.

Obviously, some of the places have changed drastically in the years since the albums were released, but the juxtaposition of the covers with Google's digital photographs is very cool. Click through to see the full gallery.
