SoHo may have just lost Kidrobot, but the neighborhood will soon witness the opening of a retail shop for Damien Hirst's publishing company, Other Criteria. There are currently three Other Criteria stores in the UK, and tomorrow (May 6) the SoHo location will begin supplying New Yorkers and tourists with original prints, clothing, books, posters, and various artist-designed goods (by Hirst and others) including ashtrays, cups, scarves, and furniture.
According to Racked, the ground floor of the 458 Broome Street shop will be used as the retail space, while the basement will be used for screenings, readings, and exhibitions. For more information about the store and the art goods offered, head to the Other Criteria website.
