Steve Lazarides, gallery owner and Banksy's former agent, will curate an art show at Sotheby's S|2 sales gallery next month, according to the New York Times. The exhibition will feature around 40 Banksy works with certificates of authenticity, but will not include street art pieces. Sotheby's has not yet officially announced the show or its details, but A consultant told the Timesthat prints will be sold at the gallery, including the 2007 Morons stencil, which is a comment on art auction culture.

Lazarides Rathbone's Victoria Al-Din confirmed that Steve Lazarides will curate the exhibition but could not give details ahead of the announcement by Sotheby's. We will definitely keep you posted on any updates to this story in the coming weeks.

UPDATE MAY 20, 2014 10:37 A.M. ET: Sotheby's is calling their exhibition on the elusive street artist "BANKSY: The Unauthorized Retrospective Curated by Steve Lazarides," and it opens on June 12. Lazarides has updated their website with more info, saying that it's a retrospective following Banksy's career from the early beginnings until 2008. There will also be "exclusive pieces never publicly exhibited previously."

Check out the show's trailer below, which has Steve Lazarides himself spraying the walls of Sotheby's pristine white gallery space.
