Uniform Experiment, the brainchild of Japanese streetwear gods Hiroshi Fujiwara and Hirofumi Kiyonaga, offers a muted and refined version of streetwear. So it only makes perfect sense that the brand, founded in 2008, is half of a collaborative effort to produce the most luxe MA-1 flight jacket you've seen.

The Japanese brand partnered with Alpha Industries, a name that's made the flight jacket one of its staples. This particular jacket, first seen in Uniform Experiment's fall/winter 2014 lookbook, is created with rich sheep leather, and has a bulkier, more traditional cut than the typical nylon version of the outerwear piece.

There's no question that the MA-1 jacket has been a staple in streetwear and more recently in menswear, with brands like Fear of God and Maharishi in collaboration with Le Berlinois giving their own takes on the outerwear. By giving it a leather treatment, Uniform Experiment and Alpha Industries have set this apart as one of the best flight jackets out there.

Head to Uniform Experiment now to pick one up.
