Known for its smart selection of ready-to-wear threads, British label A. Sauvage is now tackling footwear with the release of its first-ever shoe collection for the upcoming season.

Inspired by the childhood of designer Adrien Sauvage, this Fall/Winter 2014 line deftly fuses African heritage with London’s punk aesthetic. It’s an interesting mix, but the resulting products are nothing short of aces.

The collection’s two silhouettes—the Dictator boot and the General derby shoe—we’re clearly created with style and daily utility in mind. The rugged outdoor sole is balanced out by a sleek upper design, ensuring great durability and even greater sophistication.
