It's always cool when young artists get a chance to shine. In a new feature titled "20 Under 20," Flickr highlights young photographers from their community of users who they feel are the best, sharing their bios, examples of their work, and links to their profiles.

At a press event held at Yahoo's offices in San Francisco, Flickr Vice President Bernardo Hernandez told The Daily Dot that he was "shocked to see how many people under the age of 20 and 25 were in our user base...I saw these numbers and was like okay, we have to do something with this."

The "20 Under 20" project was curated Vogue Photography Director Ivan Shaw and judged by Hernandez and a team of photographers from around the world. Users are asked to consider the work of the 20 photographers to determine who is the most creative, who has the best technique, and who has the overall strongest portfolio. You also have the opportunity to nominate photographers on Flickr for the 2015 edition of the project. For more information and to see the rest of the 2014 squad, head over to Flickr.
