LÉON's Fall 2014 Capsule Collection Gives a Much-Needed Upgrade to Classic Menswear Items

LÉON presents its Fall 2014 capsule collection inspired by New York City.

For a year and half, Peter Nguyen, an up-and-coming designer and former design assistant at Robert Geller, endured difficult relationships with fashion corporations, as he refused to sacrifice his vision strictly for mass appeal. This season, he returns with a clean capsule collection for his menswear brand LÉON, proving he can successfully execute his plans without help from corporate companies and without compromising his artistic integrity.

Inspired by the spirit of New York City, this release is propelled by menswear staples with an added touch of drama. The seam bound bomber is a nod to the old-school satin sports jacket but reworked with exposed seams and elongated ribbing for a sleeker, more contemporary look. The floating wool trousers are cropped at the ankles and maintain a sharp tailoring appearance due to the pants detachment from the actual lining. The selection of crisp button-ups lend a more traditional vibe to the collection, while bolder pieces like the double-layer overcoat and bright-red sling bag turn up the theatrics.

Take a look at the capsule in the images below. All featured items are currently available at LÉON’s online store.
