Andy Warhol took a lot of Polaroids throughout his career with his Big Shot camera. According to Forbes, he sometimes took 300 shots before finding one that he wanted to enlarge and silkscreen onto canvas. We're not sure if anyone knows the exact number of photos he took, but gems keep popping up at auction from various collections around the world. This week, the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts will present a collection from the '70s and '80s that features portraits of some of the biggest names in fashion, including André Leon Talley, Valentino, Grace Jones, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Diane Von Furstenberg.

Titled Warhol @ Christie’s: Always in Fashion, the auction begins on Oct. 9 and will run through Oct. 21. Check out a few of our favorites below.
