It's rare to find a timelapse that isn't cool, but not all timelapses are created equal. Sometimes the perfect storm of photography, composition, and subject combine to form a timelapse as awesome as this one by photographer Alex Rivest. Driving up 17,500 feet to the basecamp of Mount Everest with his wife on their honeymoon, Rivest was able to capture the sunset at the world's tallest point, and his timelapse also revealed a beautiful view of the galaxy above as the world turned during the night.
Head to Rivest's website for more awesome photos and videos of the unreal world that we live in.
