Spiewak Golden Fleece has teamed up with Club Monaco on a jacket inspired by a peacoat that was originally produced for U.S. Navy soldiers fighting in World War I. Spiewak Golden Fleece was relaunched last year for exactly this type of project, pulling a classic piece out of the archives and updating it slightly without losing the garment's authenticity.

The peacoat has slight modifications, it's longer, has a 10-button placket, and is equipped with hand-warmer pockets lined with black corduroy—adding extra heat to a jacket already built for soldiers to survive the cold. Much remains the same, though, including the wool on the exterior, which is made right in New York City and is identical to the fabric used on the original coat.

This classic piece is available on Club Monaco's website now.
