While you sports-minded folks might hear the letters “NFC” and think “National Football Conference,” there is another—dare we say, more interesting—meaning to it as well. NFC (in this case, Near Field Communications) is a new technology that’s taking the world of cameras and photo sharing by storm. It allows users to connect their cameras wirelessly to other devices simply by touching the two devices together, and share pictures freely. In an increasingly social world where sharing equals caring much more than ever before, this is a pretty handy dandy tool to have at your disposal.
This NFC capability is just one of the many features that make Sony’s new Alpha line of cameras that much more appealing.
