It’s not the fact that he gets to work with high-profile celebrities that inspires artist Greg Burke to work in the musical art world. Rather, it’s the fact that he gets to create.

As Atlantic Records’ Creative Director for the past decade, Burke’s designs have graced some of the most classic hip-hop album covers, including Jay Z’s The Blueprint 3 and Missy Elliott’s Supa Dupa Fly. Jamaica-born and Long Island-raised, Burke has been a key figure in the visual aesthetic of music over the years. However, there’s more to him than meets the eye. The crew over at Bevel recently caught up with the legendary design guru to get his thoughts on how he got into the music industry, the things that inspire him, and what role his personal style plays in his creative process. Check out the complete interview here.
