Tommy Hilfiger, the designer behind one of the world's most recognized brands, and a personal favorite of ours from the '90s, is writing a memoir.

The memoir is currently set for a fall release through publisher Ballantine Books. In the book, Hilfiger will describe his childhood as the second of nine children, his beginnings in the fashion industry, and how he came to be a household name. The book's fall release is meant to coincide with the 30th anniversary of Tommy Hilfiger's brand.

"Reflecting on my experiences in the fashion industry over the last 30-plus years has been a wild ride, filled with milestone moments that have defined both my career and my personal life," Hilfiger said in a statement.

This will be Hilfiger's first memoir, however, he has previously helped pen books such as New England Style and Iconic America: A Roller-Coaster Ride Through the Eye-Popping Panorama of American Pop Culture.
