Kanye West’s spirited attempt at world domination has been well documented as of late. It seems that within the last few weeks, the rapper has been everywhere, from the Grammys to NYFW to even performing on “SNL 40.” But while most of the attention has been given to the debut of his adidas collection, including the Yeezy 750 Boost, many people may have overlooked another constant staple within the ‘Ye’s current wardrobe: this oversized  flight jacket by Japanese label TAKAHIROMIYASHITA The Soloist.

Kanye has rocked this piece on multiple occasions: He was spotted wearing it while attending the Jeremy Scott Fall/Winter 2015 runway show, after his intimate dinner with future-collaborator Taylor Swift, and even during his radio interview with Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club yesterday. Not to mention, all over the streets of New York City.

The tonal jacket is a solid reflection of designer Takahiro Miyashita's personal style. After parting ways with his previous label NUMBER (N)INE six years ago, he launched The Soloist with an aesthetic that was fairly similar. His affinity for classic staples—specifically those of the Americana variety—is evident with each new collection. However, Miyashita is able to distinguish his line through the use of asymmetrical cuts, patchwork construction, avant-garde detailing, and a hefty dose of utility.

It’s no wonder Kanye has added The Soloist to his list of favorite brands.

Take a look below to see images of Kanye donning the jacket within the past week. This joint is on sale for $1,813 at Haven’s online store.
