After a highly successful first collaboration, Parisian brand Pigalle is connecting again with Nike. The first collection played off Pigalle's basketball inspirations with a focused selection of jerseys, shorts, T-shirts, and the crown jewel of the offering, reworked Air Force 1s.
This time around, though, there will be even more to love, according to Pigalle founder and designer Stepháne Ashpool. "It won’t be too limited like last time. Enough so that kids can have it," he told Style.com. The designer promised a collection that is "three times bigger" and will include sweaters, shirts, joggers, and sneakers.
The collection will focus less on basketball and more on state of the art fabrics. "From now on," Ashpool said, "it’s going to be all about innovation products with innovation and style." And while the collection will be primarily composed of fleece, Ashpool added, "I want to mix fabrics together with tech to make those as good as I can."
Ashpool also said that time served as the inspiration for the collection, specifically, "Time passing—whether it’s 24 seconds or 24 hours in a day."
The new collaboration is set to drop in June. Stay tuned.
