"The Art of the Brick," the world's largest exhibition dedicated solely to LEGO art, has come to the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia. Showcasing over 100 works by contemporary artist Nathan Sawaya, the exhibition features recreations of masterpieces like Van Gogh's Starry Night and Rodin's The Thinker, as well as pop art-style pieces like a giant T-Rex skeleton. Staying true to Sawaya's conviction that "art is not optional," the exhibition exudes widespread accessibility thanks to its usage of the LEGO as a medium, a childhood classic for many.

At the end of the exhibit, visitors are invited to sign a LEGO brick and add it to the Philadelphia LEGO wall of art, which will later be used by Sawaya to create a work of street art.

"The Art of the Brick" runs from Feb. 7 to Sept. 7, 2015 at the Franklin Institute.
