In case you missed it, Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce are in the middle of a pretty big fallout following statements that Dolce made about children born to same-sex parents through IVF (In Vitro Fertilization). The designer referred to them as "synthetic children" born in "rented wombs." Elton John was infuriated by Dolce's statements and decided to respond to both Dolce and Gabbana on Instagram, calling for a boycott of their brand.

The story has gotten a lot of press, and Gabbana has since responded to John, calling his protest ignorant and defending his partner's right to have an opinion. Several celebrities and normal people have taken to Twitter to join in the boycott, using the hashtag #BoycottDolceGabbana:

In an interview with CNN, the designers responded to all of the hate. "Boycott Dolce & Gabbana for what?" said Gabbana. "They don't think like you? This is correct? This is not correct. We are in 2015. This is like medieval. It's not correct." Dolce, who is sticking to his opinions of IVF, said that he is not retaliating, telling CNN that he still loves Elton John's music.

He added that the whole thing could be resolved with a discussion. "Every people resolve everything by talk... we start to talk, the problem is resolved...Every people [has] freedom for choosing what they want. This for me is democracy. I respect you because you choose what you want. I respect me because I choose what I want... This just my point of private view."
