There are 599 days until President Barack Obama leaves the Oval House and the family moves out of the White House. According to recent reports, they may have a brand new secluded home to move into down in Obama's birthstate of Hawaii. Curbed writes that Marty Nesbitt, the chair of the Barack Obama foundation, recently handled the purchase of a home for the family in Honolulu with three acres of land and a protected beach.
The home is hidden from view, but fans of Magnum P.I. will recognize it as the "Robin's Nest" where the show was filmed in the 1980s. A local paper is quoted as saying that the property is "visibly in need of repairs and upkeep," but 599 is a long time to fix a house.
