Last month, Tom Ford revealed he was in the early stages of casting his second film, but gave little information about the movie’s premise. We knew Ford had wrote the script himself and that it was based off a “lesser-known” thriller novel, but the designer refused to say which one.

This week, reports are indicating George Clooney is involved with the project, titled Nocturnal Animals, and that is an adaptation of Austin Wright’s 1993 novel Tony and Susan.

The book focuses on a woman named Susan who receives a manuscript from her ex-husband of 20 years. The novel then follows two stories: the plot of the ex-husband’s book, also titled Nocturnal Animals, which is about a family vacation turned deadly; and the story of Susan, who must face her own dark truths and the details about her failed marriage.

As of now, there is no information about the casting, but according to the Hollywood Reporter, Clooney will produce the film with his Smokehouse Pictures partner Grant Heslov.

Stay tuned as more information comes in.
