Spring might bring relief from the brutal cold of this past winter, but don’t forget: seasonal downpours are part of the deal, too. This year, instead of investing in yet another umbrella (which you’ll probably lose anyway), put the money toward a versatile mac jacket. Think of the simple, one-placket jacket as a trench coat with fewer bells and whistles. And no, it doesn’t necessarily have to be raining to wear one outside—as long as there are one or two clouds in the sky, you can get your mac on.
