HEAVY DREAMERS” is a short documentary shot during the POW! WOW! art festival in Hawaii last February, and was produced by Canadian art blog Booooooom in collaboration with WeTransfer.  If you've ever even picked up a spray can, you have to watch this video.

The video focuses more on the artists than the festival itself and is a sick insight into what it's actually like being involved in that scene. The artists talk about their insecurities, their process and also get real about how they got into it in the first place. Case, an artist from Germany, explains that he started for the same reasons everyone did. "You are young, you have no motorcycle license, so you're going to go out and spray," he says in the documentary. While motorcycles may not be your thing, there's no denying that graffiti has always been an outlet for disaffected youth, with the result being consistently awesome work.

Watch the video above featuring interviews with a mixture of emerging and more established street artists and musicians, such as Hot TeaJames JeanKevin LyonsTatiana Suarez, and Nosego. If you're into it, head down to Long Beach, Calif. for another installment of the festival, beginning June 22.
