You may recognize Antonio Banderas from his storied acting career, equal parts The Mask of Zorro and Puss In Boots. But for his next role, he'll be taking on the role of student at storied fashion school Central Saint Martins—and (*cue epic movie trailer voice*) this time, it's for real.

As seen on Banderas' Instagram, the actor recently began his second week of study at the London-based university that's produced such talents as Céline's Phoebe Philo, Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci, and the late-Alexander McQueen—just to name a few.

While this change in course is certainly unexpected, as Banderas explained in an interview on British talk show Loose Women, it's something that the actor has been planning for some time.

“It’s something that has been on my mind for a long time. [Central Saint Martins] is probably one of the best schools in the world...and so I am going to start studying with them...I need knowledge to take steps in that territory." Banderas continues, "It makes me feel actually very young to put the elbows on the table again and try to understand another reality. Of course, I won’t stop my professional life, I’ll continue acting, directing—but this is a new thing.”

While the program is no longer headed up by the legendary, Kanye-inspiring Louise Wilson (R.I.P), the school's roster of incredibly talented alumni prove that starting at Central Saint Martins puts Banderas' burgeoning fashion career off on the right foot.

While while we're not exactly sure what a Banderas-designed garment would look like, at least he can take comfort in the fact that black is always in fashion.
