This Short Film Is Said to Be the Last Documentation of 5 Pointz Art

Kevin Wood caught the last footage of 5 Pointz before it was destroyed in 2013. He has now turned that footage into a short documentary.

Almost two years ago, the NYC street art community suffered a major loss: The legendary graffiti Mecca known as 5 Pointz was unexpectedly whitewashed (and later demolished), causing outrage among those who contributed to it for the last 20 years.

In remembrance of the iconic location, director Kevin Wood has released the last known video footage of 5 Pointz and has condensed it into a five-minute documentary aptly titled 5 Pointz in 5 Minutes.

According to a description on Footprint.tv, Wood was hired to film the interior and exterior of the space for “unknown reasons.” About 48 hours after he completed filming, 5 Pointz was no more.
