This weekend, the National Beard and Moustache Championships were held in Brooklyn. For the past six years, the annual event has attracted the dudes with the best facial hair from around the country to compete in 18 categories like "Amish Beard" and "Musketeer."

Out of the 300 contestants though, this guy who constructed a fully functioning bird cage might be the most impressive. Eric Brooks built the enclosure with the help of a hair stylist, who created the hair covered cage that was weaved into his actual chest-length beard. The massive cage even had a working door, which he strategically used to chug his drink.

The idea for the beard cage came from this viral hoax video that claims to be from the 1991 Championships.
