Acne Studios isn't afraid to play with gender-based conventions. You don't believe us? Let us direct you to the Swedish brand's Autumn/Winter 2015 campaign, featuring the son of Acne Studios founder, Jonny Johansson, modeling shoes and apparel from the season's womenswear collection. For Spring/Summer 2016 the brand revisits gender fluidity, this time focusing on the punk culture of '70s.

That's likely why glam rock-ready pieces—like drapey blouses, loose trousers in near-transparent superfine wool, and eye-popping graphic jumpsuits—take center stage in the collection. Speaking of the graphics, they come direct from abstract surfboard art; courtesy of Robin Kegel.

But, as boundary-breaking as the apparel is, Acne Studios applied the same '70s feel to the accessories. For the first time, the brand is offering bags, featuring designs that are "like hybrids of sacks mixed with stachels...or combined with a rucksack." As is the case with the silhouettes of the Spring/Summer collection, shoes are taken right out of the '70s—giant leather and suede platform boots included.

For a full look at the collection, check the lookbook below. If you're interested in snapping up some of Acne Studios' Spring/Summer 2016 collection, it's available online and in-stores now.
