It looks like Carmelo Anthony is finally starting that clothing line—well, kind of. The Knicks forward is teaming up with Macy's to drop a new collection, but this one is for the kids. Anthony and the retailer are working with Nickelodeon to release a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles-themed line of boys apparel. The collection, first teased last year,  will consist of graphic T-shirts, hoodies, shorts, and basketballs that are branded with TMNT x Melo and Turtles x Melo.

While Anthony and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles seem like an unusual pairing, Duran Guion, the vice president and fashion director of men's and kids' at Macy's, says they were fascinated by how fanatical Anthony was about the show. Anthony explains to WWD that, like many of us, he grew up on TMNT and now watches it on television with his son. He even landed a cameo playing himself in the upcoming movie releasing in June.

As for the collection itself, Anthony says he was hands on every step of the way. "I was basically involved in the whole creative process—the colors, which are kind of obvious considering they’re turtles, and the slogan, and the textures," he said. "I feel good about all the pieces.”

He also hints that he could work on some more collaborations in the future, so stay tuned. May we suggest looking to Doug Funnie next?

Watch for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Melo collection to drop exclusively at Macy’s in early May.
