After dropping an extensive Spring/Summer 2016 collectionJohn Elliott is expanding the range with even more gear. The designer has just unveiled a new capsule collection of understated streetwear staples. The range, titled "rtv+" (Running Through Vietnam Plus) is an extension of his military-inspired "Running Through Vietnam" collection, which was born out of the designers own trip to the capital.

"The color palette of the Spring Summer 16 collection was drawn from the streets of Hanoi and Islands of Halong Bay," designer John Elliott told Complex. "I was curious to experience Vietnam while running through it and the takeaway was washed down, foggy, pale tones. In order to tell the story in an authentic manner, we had to go back to the source of the inspiration. This lookbook was shot at night on the streets of Hanoi... Over two deliveries you’ll see cropped raw hem denim, raw hem denim shorts, new sweatshirt styles, and for the first time, layered two pack tees.”

The two-part capsule also includes distressed tees, oversized sweats, and shorts perfect for layering those doubled-up T-shirts with. The washed worn-in pieces are also offered in the same palette of gray, black, and blue as the earlier collection. The toned down pieces contrast brilliantly with the neon lights and items that serve as a backdrop for the collection. The lookbook also features models wearing Vans footwear, which have fallen back into favor for many fashion brands recently.

Check out the lookbook below, which was shot in Hanoi, Vietnam. The first part of the delivery will drop exclusively on John Elliott's website on May 9 and the second half will release May 16.
